Obverse description Facing right, the youthful head of the eponymous nymph Larissa rendered in archaic style, her hair dressed and secured with a ribbon tied at the nape of the neck. The modelling reflects the transitional Severe style of early fifth-century BC Thessalian coinage, with finely rendered facial features and naturalistic hair treatment characteristic of the period.
