Obverse description Nude male figure, likely a warrior or deity, depicted in a kneeling or running pose facing right, rendered in the archaizing style typical of Cilician coinage of the early fourth century BC. The figure wears a crested helmet and appears muscular, with the body shown in three-quarter view. The field is plain and unlettered. The overall style reflects strong Greco-Persian artistic influence characteristic of uncertain Cilician mints of this period.

Additional information

Cilicia in the early fourth century hosted a dense cluster of semi-autonomous cities and dynastic mints operating under loose Achaemenid suzerainty, many of which issued fractional silver for purely local exchange. Attribution problems are endemic to this series — without a clear ethnic or dynastic badge, coins like this one get filed under "uncertain" indefinitely, despite SNG Levante providing the closest typological anchor available.
