Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a floral palmette motif on the bowl. The goddess is rendered in archaic style characteristic of the late 6th century BC Athenian coinage, with almond-shaped eye and strong facial profile. The surface of the coin is slightly worn but the principal design elements remain clearly defined within the broad, irregularly shaped flan.

Reverse description Owl standing three-quarters facing to the right, wings closed, with large round eye depicted in characteristic archaic style. An olive sprig appears to the upper left of the owl, and a crescent or incuse mark is visible to the right. The entire design is set within an incuse square with slightly raised borders, a hallmark of early Athenian archaic coinage. The composition is bold and schematic, reflecting the transitional artistic conventions of the late Archaic period.
