Obverse description Obverse displays a sea turtle seen from above in high relief, rendered in the characteristic Aeginetan style of the early Classical period. The carapace is depicted with a smooth, domed profile, the head projecting slightly at the upper field. The flan is irregular and compact, typical of small-denomination hammered silver coinage of this series.

Reverse description Reverse features a skewed incuse square divided into five compartments by a bold raised cross, forming the distinctive mill-sail or windmill pattern characteristic of Aeginetan coinage of this period. The central and surrounding sections display alternating raised and sunken triangular elements, creating a deeply impressed geometric design. The incuse punch is sharply struck within the irregular flan.
