Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with fine detail on the Attic helmet's crest and cheekpiece. The profile is boldly modeled in high relief against a flat field, characteristic of fifth-century Lesbian coinage. The eye is depicted in the archaic frontal convention within the left-facing profile. The flan is irregular and compact, consistent with the small module of the denomination.
