| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus Ammon facing right, rendered with finely engraved flowing locks and a mature bearded visage. The deity displays the distinctive ram's horn of Ammon curling behind the ear, a hallmark of Kyrenaean coinage reflecting the city's close association with the oracle of Zeus Ammon at Siwa. The relief is bold and well-modelled, characteristic of the skilled die engravers active at the Kyrene mint during the late fourth century BC. The field is plain, and no inscription accompanies the type. |

| Reverse description | Draped bust of a female deity facing right, identified as either Kyrene or Aphrodite, wearing an elaborate stephane or diadem adorned with a beaded tiara, with her hair arranged in a rolled coiffure. The drapery falls gracefully over the shoulder, rendered in fine incised folds consistent with the refined engraving style of the Kyrenaean workshop of this period. The portrait is contained within the compact flan with no surrounding legend or exergual inscription. The overall execution is crisp and displays high artistic quality appropriate to a gold fractional denomination. |
