Obverse description A plump wheat grain depicted in high relief, oriented vertically with the sprouting end uppermost, rendered in a bold, naturalistic archaic style typical of Boeotian civic coinage. The grain dominates the flan, its surface subtly convex and tapering to a pointed base. Flanking the lower portion of the grain in the field are the letters E (left) and P (right), serving as the civic ethnic abbreviation for Orchomenos. The design is contained within a smooth, slightly irregular circular border consistent with hand-struck production.

Reverse description A deeply struck incuse square divided into four triangular sections by a bold skew or mill-sail pattern, characteristic of the Aeginetan monetary tradition. The four triangular compartments are arranged in alternating raised and sunken relief, creating a dynamic pinwheel effect. The incuse is well-centered on the flan, with sharply defined ridges meeting at the center. No legend or additional devices are present. This reverse type reflects the broad influence of Aeginetan coinage conventions across central Greece during the early Classical period.
