Obverse description Head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in archaic relief style typical of Arkadian civic coinage of the late 5th century BC. The facial features are boldly if somewhat crudely engraved, with the helmet crest and cheekpieces visible. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, as characteristic of hand-struck Greek silver of this small denomination.
