| Obverse description | A kantharos (two-handled drinking cup) depicted facing, with voluted handles extending to either side, rendered in bold relief at the center of the flan. Four pellets are distributed around the vessel in the field — one above, one below to the right, and one to each side — serving as decorative or denominational markers. The letter K appears in the field. The style is characteristic of the archaic-to-early classical Tarentine coinage, with a compact, schematic rendering suited to the small obol denomination. |
