Obverse description Large oval hammered gold plate with a characteristically textured, horizontally striated field. A bold central inscription in cursive grass-script (sōsho) calligraphy reading '拾両後藤' (Ten Ryō Gotō) is applied in black ink down the vertical axis of the plate. Four circular Gotō family paulownia kiri mon (family crest stamps) are impressed into the field, one at the top center, one at the bottom center, and one on each lateral side at mid-height, serving as official authentication marks. The overall surface retains its characteristic hammered finish with rounded edges, typical of Edo-period ōban production.
