Reverse description The reverse depicts a helmeted and cuirassed emperor standing facing left, holding a labarum (chi-rho standard) in his right hand and a Victory-on-globe in his left, with a bound captive or kneeling barbarian figure at his feet to the left, a standard late Roman compositional motif conveying imperial dominance. The letter D appears in the right field, serving as a officina or control mark. The exergue contains the mint mark BSISC or ΓSISC denoting the Siscia mint. The encircling legend GLORIA ROMANORVM proclaims the Glory of the Romans.
