(Translation: Our Lord Valentinian II pious successful emperor.)
Reverse description The reverse presents the votive inscription VOT X MVLT XX arranged in four lines within a laurel wreath tied at the base, the whole composition enclosed by the wreath's leafy branches meeting at the top. The wreath, a symbol of imperial victory and longevity, frames the dedicatory vow text in a manner standard for late 4th-century bronze coinage. Beneath the wreath in the exergue appears the mintmark SMKB, identifying the Cyzicus mint and the second officina. A small pellet or decorative element is visible between the lines of text on this example.
