Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus II facing right, rendered in the Tetrarchic military style with a pronounced radiate crown of seven rays. The emperor's effigy displays finely engraved scale armour over the cuirass and a paludamentum secured at the right shoulder. The surrounding Latin legend is incuse and reads clockwise from the lower left. The portrait conveys the authoritative, blocky physiognomy characteristic of Diocletianic-era coinage from the Alexandrian mint.

Reverse description Jupiter, standing left and leaning on a long sceptre, presents a small Victory on a globe to Severus II, who stands to the right in military dress facing left, both figures rendered in the stiff, frontal Tetrarchic manner. An officina letter appears in the central field between the two figures, while the exergue carries the Alexandrian mintmark. The dynastic reverse type emphasises divine legitimacy and concordance between the emperor and his troops. The divided legend CONCORDIA MI-LITVM or CONCORDIA MIL-ITVM frames the composition in the upper field.
