Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximinus II Daia facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the late Tetrarchic style with strongly modelled facial features. The effigy occupies the central field within a beaded border. The encircling Latin legend reads GAL VAL MAXIMINVS NOB CAES, identifying him as Galerius Valerius Maximinus, Noble Caesar. The coin surface carries an even olive-green patina consistent with prolonged burial, with some surface porosity typical of Carthaginian mint products of this period.
