| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximinus II Daia as Caesar facing right, with short beard and strongly modelled features characteristic of the Tetrarchic portrait style. The laureate wreath is rendered with fine engraving, and the cuirass is visible at the truncation. The legend is disposed around the periphery in Latin capitals, reading MAXIMINVS NOB CAES. The portrait exhibits the compact, powerful physiognomy typical of Diocletianic-era mint work at Rome. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Moneta standing facing left, draped in long robes, holding a set of scales in her extended right hand and a cornucopiae in her left arm. A six-pointed star appears in the right field. The mintmark and officina letter are placed in the exergue. The reverse type alludes to the sacred coinage issued under the joint authority of the Augusti and Caesars of the Tetrarchy, as proclaimed by the surrounding legend. |
