Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximinus II Daia facing right, his armor rendered with fine engraved detail characteristic of the Tetrarchic period. The effigy displays a strongly modeled profile with a short beard and prominent features consistent with Tetrarchic portraiture conventions. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Latin capital letters within a beaded border.
