Reverse description The Genius of the Roman People (Genius Populi Romani) stands facing left, depicted nude with a chlamys draped over the left shoulder and wearing a modius (grain measure) upon his head. In his right hand he holds a patera for libation, while his left hand grasps a cornucopiae (horn of plenty), emblems of prosperity and divine favour. An officina letter appears in the right field, and the mintmark SIS is placed in the exergue, identifying the Siscia mint. The reverse legend GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, split across the field, encircles the central type in the standard Tetrarchic formula for this nummus type.
