Obverse description Laureate bust of Maxentius facing right, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial portrait style. The legend encircles the effigy along the outer border of the coin, partially obscured by wear and patina. The portrait exhibits the characteristic broad facial features associated with Maxentian coinage from the Ticinum mint, with the laurel wreath clearly rendered in relief. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of nummi struck at this mint during 308–309 AD.
