Obverse description Right-facing bust of Magnus Maximus, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Aquileia mint. The emperor's effigy displays a pronounced pearl diadem with visible beading along the brow, while the paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder. The cuirass is detailed with decorative elements at the shoulder. The obverse legend encircles the bust in the field, reading D N MAG MAXIMVS P F AVG.
