Reverse description The goddess Roma seated facing left on a throne, helmeted and wearing military attire, holding a globe in her extended right hand and a long sceptre or spear in her left, with a large round shield resting beside her. The divided legend ROMAE A-ETERNAE flanks the figure in the field, with P and R flanking the seated figure at mid-field denoting the officina and mint control marks. The exergue bears the mint mark RS, indicating the second officina of the Rome mint. The border exhibits a fine beaded edge consistent with Constantinian-era bronze coinage.
