Obverse description Laureate head of Licinius I facing right, rendered in low relief with finely striated laurel wreath and naturalistic portrait features characteristic of the Tetrarchic-Constantinian transitional style. The bust is bare or lightly draped at the truncation. A beaded border encircles the design. The imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery in Latin capitals.

(Translation: Emperor Licinius, Pious and Fortunate Augustus)
Reverse description Sol Invictus depicted standing left, nude but with a chlamys draped across the left shoulder, raising the right hand in a gesture of salutation and holding a globus in the left hand. A star appears in the left field as a divine symbol. The officina letter and mint abbreviation are placed in the exergue. The reverse legend, divided by the central figure, identifies Sol as the companion of the emperor.
