| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Licinius I facing right, wearing a radiate crown with prominent spikes, the drapery and cuirass rendered in fine detail. The imperial portrait is executed in the bold, slightly stylised manner characteristic of Tetrarchic and early Constantinian mint production at Rome. The obverse legend is disposed around the periphery in capital Latin letters. The flan is irregular and slightly spread, consistent with hand-struck production of the period. |
