| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Licinius I facing right, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy displays the characteristic portraiture of the Tetrarchic period, with a broad neck and stylized facial features. The surrounding Latin legend reads IMP LICINIVS P F AVG, disposed clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The obverse die is struck on an irregular flan typical of early Constantinian-era nummi from the Arelate mint. |
