| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Licinius I facing left, depicted in imperial regalia holding a sceptre in the right hand and a mappa in the left hand. The portrait is rendered in the late Roman military style characteristic of the Tetrarchic and early Constantinian period. The obverse legend is arranged around the bust and reads IMP LICI-NIVS AVG, identifying the emperor as supreme commander and Augustus. |
