Reverse description Jupiter stands facing, nude, head turned slightly left, holding a Victory on a globe in his raised right hand and a long sceptre in his left; an eagle with spread wings stands at his feet to the left, and a captive figure crouches at lower left. The field to the right bears the officina mark VIII. The encircling legend IOVI CONS-ERVATORI identifies Jupiter as the divine protector of the emperor.
