Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed bust of Licinius I facing right, rendered in the Roman imperial portrait tradition with layered armor visible at the shoulder. The emperor's effigy occupies the central field, with the encircling legend running clockwise from the lower left. The portrait displays the characteristic style of the Constantinian period, with a relatively compact head and bold laurel wreath. The obverse legend is partially visible around the periphery of the flan, which is notably irregular in shape as is typical of hammered nummi of this era.
