Reverse description The Genius of the Emperor (Genius Augusti) stands facing left, nude save for a chlamys draped over the left shoulder, wearing a modius (grain measure) on his head as an attribute of abundance. He holds a patera in his extended right hand for libation, and a cornucopiae in his left arm. A crescent symbol appears in the left field, and the officina letter is placed in the right field. The legend GENIO A-VGVSTI or GENIO AV-GVSTI is divided across the field, with the mint mark SIS appearing in the exergue.
