Obverse description Laureate head of Licinius I facing right, rendered in high relief with short curled hair and a short beard, the laurel wreath tied at the nape with a distinctive band visible behind the neck truncation. The portrait displays the robust, somewhat idealized style characteristic of the Tetrarchic period. The legend encircles the bust, running from the lower left around the upper field to the lower right, bordered by a beaded outer rim.
