Obverse description Helmeted, pearl-diademed, and cuirassed bust of Julian II facing left, the emperor depicted in full military attire. He carries a spear in his right hand, held diagonally across the body, and bears a decorated shield in his left hand. The effigy is rendered in the late Roman imperial style, with fine detail on the helmet crest and armor. The obverse legend runs around the periphery of the coin in Latin capitals.
