Reverse description The helmeted emperor, clad in full military attire, stands facing left, extending a globe in his raised right hand and holding a spear with his left hand, projecting imperial authority and military prowess. A control mark appears in the left field. The reverse legend SPES REIPVBLICE encircles the design, proclaiming Julian as the hope of the Roman state. The mintmark in the exergue identifies the Sirmium mint and the issuing officina, appearing as ASIRM or BSIRM depending on the workshop. The overall composition conforms closely to the standard SPES REIPVBLICE type as catalogued in RIC VIII for the Sirmium mint.
