| Reverse description | A Roman soldier, shown in military attire and advancing to the left, thrusts a spear downward at a fallen horseman who is tumbling from his horse. The fallen enemy wears a Phrygian helmet and turns his upper body backward, raising one arm in a gesture of supplication. The letter M appears in the left field as a control mark. The exergue contains the officina letter and mintmark ASIS, BSIS, ΓSIS, or ΔSIS depending on the issuing workshop. The encircling legend FEL TEMP-REPARATIO (Restoration of Happy Times) runs around the reverse field, enclosed within a beaded border. |
