| Reverse description | The enthroned personification of Constantinopolis depicted facing, with head turned to the right, helmeted and draped, seated upon a throne. Her right hand holds a long sceptre and her left hand supports a Victory standing upon a globe; beneath her right foot rests a ship's prow, symbolising naval dominion. The field legend CONCORDI-A AVGG celebrates the concord of the Augusti, while the exergual mint mark SMKA identifies the Cyzicus workshop. |

The CONCORDIA AVGG reverse type — invoking harmony between the two emperors — was particularly charged during this period. By 401, the formal division of the empire between Arcadius in the east and Honorius in the west had calcified into something closer to mutual suspicion, with the minister Stilicho and the eastern court of Eutropius barely concealing their rivalry. The legend advertising imperial concord was, by any measure, aspirational rather than descriptive.
Cyzicus remained one of the more productive eastern mints at this time, its output identifiable by the SMK officina marks.
