Obverse description Laureate bust of the Emperor Galerius (Gaius Galerius Valerius Maximianus) facing right, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the robust late Tetrarchic style characteristic of the Heraclean mint. The obverse legend encircles the effigy in Latin capitals along the outer border. The portrait displays the characteristic squared facial features and thick neck typical of Tetrarchic imperial imagery, conveying martial authority.
