Reverse description Standing figure of the Genius of the Roman People (Genius Populi Romani), depicted nude or semi-draped, wearing a turreted crown, facing left. In his right hand he holds a patera (libation dish) and in his left hand a cornucopiae (horn of plenty), symbols of abundance and divine favor. The reverse legend GENIO POPVLI ROMANI arcs around the upper field, while the mintmark B XXI appears in the lower field and ALE in the exergue, denoting the second officina of the Alexandria mint and the silver content guarantee of the flan.
