Reverse description The Genius of the Roman People stands facing left, nude but for a chlamys draped over his left shoulder, wearing a modius (grain measure) on his head as an attribute of abundance. In his right hand he holds a patera (libation bowl) extended outward, and in his left hand he carries a cornucopiae (horn of plenty), symbolising prosperity. No mintmark appears in the exergue or field, a feature consistent with early Londinium issues of RIC VI 28a. The Latin legend GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI encircles the reverse field.
