| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Dalmatius Caesar facing right, portrayed with youthful features characteristic of his junior imperial rank. The laureate wreath is rendered in fine detail, and the paludamentum is visible at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads FL DELMATIVS NOB CAES in Latin characters, identifying the subject as Flavius Dalmatius, Noble Caesar. The portrait reflects the standardized late Constantinian workshop style prevalent at the Heraclea mint. |

| Reverse description | Two helmeted, draped, and cuirassed soldiers stand facing one another, each holding an inverted spear in the outer hand and resting the inner hand upon a grounded shield. A single legionary standard is placed centrally between them, its shaft rising vertically between the two figures. The legend GLORIA EXERCITVS, divided across the field as GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS, proclaims the glory of the army. The mintmark and officina letter appear in the exergue, identifying issues from the Heraclea mint with officinae denoted by SMHA, SMHΓ, or SMH∈. |
