| Reverse description | A military standard (vexillum) bearing the inscription VOT XX is depicted centrally, flanked on either side by a seated captive with hands bound, rendered in the formulaic Constantinian style indicating military dominance over defeated enemies. The composition conveys the martial virtue of the Roman army and the votive commemoration of twenty years of imperial rule. The reverse legend VIRTVS EXERCIT encircles the design, and the mint mark in the exergue identifies the Treveri officina responsible for striking this issue. |
