Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Caesar Crispus facing right, rendered in three-quarter forward perspective, a portraiture convention characteristic of the Constantinian period. The legend commences at 8 o'clock and is divided by a caesura after the seventh character. The titulature identifies the subject as a Noble Caesar, consistent with his rank prior to his execution in 326.

Reverse description A camp gate depicted with two flanking turrets and a single star above the central portal, a type emblematic of military preparedness and imperial providence. The legend PROVIDENTIAE CAESS encircles the design, commencing at 7 o'clock with a caesura after the eighth character, proclaiming the Providence of the Caesars. The exergue bears the mint and officina mark identifying the Thessalonica mint and its respective workshop.
