Reverse description Camp gate depicted frontally with three turrets, the gateway rendered without doors and constructed of five to seven courses of dressed stone, a common reverse type of the Constantinian era symbolising military preparedness and imperial providence. A crescent or additional mark appears in the right field. The reverse legend PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS, divided across the field, attributes the design to the providential care of the Caesars. The mint mark in the exergue identifies the Heraclean workshop.
