| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Crispus facing right, rendered in the competent late Roman imperial style typical of the Ticinum mint. The laureate wreath is clearly delineated with individual leaves, and the drapery and armor are visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling legend reads CRISPVS NOB CAES, identifying the subject as Caesar Crispus, eldest son of Constantine I. |
