| Obverse description | Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Crispus facing right, wearing a crested military helmet with detailed cheek-guards and a cuirass with elaborately rendered straps and fittings. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous late Constantinian style, conveying youthful martial authority. The encircling legend reads IVL CRIS-PVS NOB C, identifying Julius Crispus as Caesar, distributed on either side of the bust within a beaded border. |
