Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II as Caesar facing left, rendered with fine detail showing layered laurel wreath, paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, and segmented cuirass. The portrait presents a youthful profile consistent with his status as a junior co-ruler at this date. The surrounding circular legend reads FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, identifying him as Flavius Julius Constantius, Nobilissimus Caesar. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of the hammered production technique of the Arelatum mint in this period.
