Reverse description A helmeted Roman soldier, depicted draped and cuirassed, advances to the left, thrusting a spear downward with his right hand into a fallen enemy horseman; his left arm bears a large round shield, with a second shield visible on the ground to the right. The fallen horseman, wearing a distinctive pointed Phrygian-style cap, turns his head back toward the soldier and raises his left arm in a gesture of supplication or defense. This composition represents the celebrated FEL TEMP REPARATIO type, symbolizing the restoration of happy times and Roman military supremacy. The reverse legend is divided across the field, with the mint mark appearing in the exergue.
