Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II facing right, portrayed as a young Caesar with laureate wreath encircling the head. The effigy displays fine late Roman portraiture with detailed drapery folds over the cuirass visible at the truncation. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Latin characters within the field, identifying the ruler by his full titulature. The portrait conveys youthful imperial authority consistent with Constantius II's status as Caesar under his father Constantine I during this emission.
