Reverse description A helmeted Roman soldier, depicted draped and cuirassed, strides to the left while thrusting a spear downward with his right hand into a fallen barbarian horseman beneath him. The soldier carries a large shield on his left arm, and an additional shield rests on the ground to the right. The defeated horseman twists upward to face his attacker, raising his left arm in a gesture of supplication or defense. The reverse legend FEL TEMP REPARATIO — meaning 'restoration of happy times' — encircles the design, and the exergue bears the mint mark of the Thessalonica officina.
