| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Emperor Constantius II, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the standard late Roman imperial portrait style. The effigy displays the characteristic elongated facial features typical of mid-4th century coinage. The obverse legend encircles the bust, reading D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor by name with his imperial titles. The coin shows a patinated bronze surface consistent with its age and circulation. |

| Reverse description | A helmeted Roman soldier strides to the left, bearing a shield on his left arm and thrusting a spear downward at a falling horseman. The defeated horseman, bearded and bare-headed, lies upon his fallen horse and extends his left arm upward toward the soldier in a gesture of supplication. Occasionally a shield appears on the ground to the right of the scene. A letter appears in the left field with a dot at centre, while the mintmark occupies the exergue. The encircling legend FEL TEMP REPARATIO proclaims the restoration of happy times, a common theme of Constantian propaganda. |
