Reverse description A Roman soldier, helmeted, draped, and cuirassed, strides left while driving his spear downward into a fallen enemy horseman beneath him, in the celebrated FEL TEMP REPARATIO type. The soldier carries a shield on his left arm, and an additional shield rests on the ground to the right. The vanquished horseman, wearing a distinctive pointed Phrygian-style cap, faces the soldier and extends his left arm in a gesture of supplication. The reverse legend FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO, meaning 'Happy Times Restored,' encircles the scene, and the mintmark with officina letter Γ and control mark ● appear in the exergue.
