Reverse description The Genius of the Roman People (Genius Populi Romani) stands facing left in a frontal composition, nude save for a chlamys draped over his left shoulder and wearing a modius (grain measure) upon his head, symbolising abundance. In his outstretched right hand he holds a patera from which he pours a libation, while his left hand clasps a overflowing cornucopiae, emblematic of prosperity. The field legend GENIO POPV-L-I ROMANI encircles the figure, and the officina letter together with the mintmark HT appears in the exergue, identifying production at the Heraclea mint.
