Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantine II as Caesar facing right, rendered in the youthful style characteristic of his early coinage. The effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath crown with elaborate hair detail and a paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The circumferential obverse legend is disposed around the bust and reads CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, identifying the prince as the Junior Noble Caesar. The portrait reflects the Constantinian workshop tradition of idealized, clean-featured imperial imagery. The fields show natural patination consistent with a bronze issue of the early fourth century.
