Reverse description Sol Invictus standing facing with head turned to the left, depicted nude save for a chlamys draped over his left shoulder, his right hand raised in a gesture of salutation and his left hand clasping a globe symbolizing universal dominion. The figure is rendered in the classical solar deity convention standard to Constantinian coinage. The reverse legend CLARITAS REIPVBLICAE encircles the type, and the mintmark BSIS appears in the exergue, denoting the second officina of the Siscia mint. A beaded border frames the entire design.
